We use Airbnb a lot as frequent travelers. While staying in a hotel might be a lot of fun, there are a lot of benefits to staying in an Airbnb. You’ll probably have access to a kitchen, which means you can cook for yourself; you’ll probably have more room than a hotel, and you’ll get to experience what it’s like to live like a local, all while saving money (compared to living in a hotel).

We’ve all taken the risk of booking new listings with no reviews, and it’s luckily worked out for us! Generally, though, aim to book a hotel that has a lot of positive and high-quality reviews. If there are simply a few extremely short reviews, I don’t think it’s very helpful. Look for reviews that go into great detail about the home and the neighborhood.
Check through all of the reviews to see if anyone has mentioned a common issue with the rental. If that’s the case, how did the host handle it? If a good host responds to reviews, including bad ones, it’s another evidence of a good host.
Read the Rules
Also, don’t forget to read the regulations while you’re at it! Hopefully, no huge surprises await you, but you never know what you might find. We’ve been to areas with extraordinarily severe (and weird) noise regulations. Are you a cigarette smoker? There may be tight smoking restrictions in outdoor areas. Before you book, we strongly urge you to read it completely.
The check-in/check-out timing is an important issue that is sometimes disregarded. You will be without a room if you arrive in the city before the planned check-in time or depart the city very late. Enquire with the hotel about early check-in and late checkout options.
Check the Services and Cleaning Fees
Make sure you double-check the additional fees before pressing the “book” button! We don’t know how service costs operate, but they appear to vary quite a bit (which is likely out of the control of the host).
Cleaning fees are something to keep an eye out for. These fees can make a big difference in your ultimate pricing, therefore always examine the final prices of each place when attempting to decide between a few options. Also keep in mind that some locations compel hosts to charge taxes, which might significantly raise your total bill.
Picture Quality
Lower-resolution photographs aren’t always representative of the actual property, so don’t be put off by them. The property will be in ultra-high definition when you arrive, so try to imagine what’s behind the photographs. Amateur images are frequently suggestive of a new listing for which the owner has not yet prepared for a professional photo shoot.
